Taking Things Apart

This is a GUI based editor for Loading.KWI files.

It currently only supports the Windows CE based version.

There is primary support for NR261 (Mitsubishi) and partial support for CUP28(Volvo, Aston Martin and Toyota).

I do have plans to extend it to the aisin/denso versions... watch this space ..

Currently it allows export of pretty much everything, and replacement of some things..

You can, for example, replace the images used in the system.

There is a built in patch engine : designed so that newer version can be automagically dealt with.

The stringtables are replaceable.. In place editing is a work-in-progress..

This should allow for previously unsupported languages to be added - there has been some interest in a Romanian version, for instance .

I have also provided a facility that should allow "Language Packs" to be produced and distributed as required.

It incorporates automatic version checking and download of new data files for patches as they become available.

It also has a licensing system : I was particularly unhappy to see my previous work for sale on eBay.

And another rewrite..

I think I'll have to rename this beast - it now handles Mercedes HB2 update files.

Think I have region-free on Mitsus done now.

Also means I should be good to go for region free & dvd-in-motion on certain Mercs ( the w204 for one )

I've also just picked up one of the units for me to play with - finally some hardware! W00t!

Next on the list is one of the Mitsu ETACS units : if anyone has one lying around ( working or not ) I'd be interested in seeing it.

Another fairly big rewrite...

The CECompression DLLs are no longer needed - All (de/re)compression is now handled internally..

New address detection scheme - seems to work so far.

Full release is on hold.. You know why.

Fixes for the search routines.

First cut of a gui registry editor ( editing not available at the moment, so its more of a "viewer" :P )

First cut of  a basic help file - very little content, other than a couple of "How-tos". More will be added when I'm _that_ bored. 

I _really_ need to hook up with a Mitsu owner in N.Ireland .. I can see the full release stalling until then.. :/

Fairly big update this.

It should now open raw nk.bin files ( ie pretty much any CE os image )

I've added a search facility : it does a hierarchical search of all objects, segments and files.

This means you will see multiple hits listed for the same area of memory, in different objects.

This is normal.

Still working on the rebuild of the modules section.
